Man sets 400 Million Dollar Fire, gets 17 years in Prison.

Talk about a bad day at work? Yeah this is a bad day at work. I cannot even fathom why someone would set fire to a shit. That is mutiny. Well it got this darwinian 17 years in federal prison and a 400 million dollar fine. Can’t say I blame the Government for trying to collect. -The Poliblogger Casey James Fury simply didn’t want to be at work, and in the process cost the Navy nearly a half-billion dollars and one attack submarine. Fury admitted to setting fire to the USS Miami, a nuclear sub, in May 2012 while it […]

Former Bush Aide Pushes ‘Conservative Case’ For Gay Marriage : NPR

Civil rights are conservative in their nature, so I look forward to seeing this element of the political platform embraced. -Poliblogger One hundred thirty-one prominent Republicans have signed a pro-same-sex marriage legal brief that is clearly at odds with the House GOP leadership and the party’s platform in the most recent election. Because of the prominence of the signers, the brief stands out among the more than 150 friend-of-the-court briefs filed in two same-sex marriage cases to be argued at the U.S. Supreme Court this week. The man who rounded up the group is Ken Mehlman, the former political director […]

Don’t Pay Congress | No Labels

Don’t Pay Congress | No Labels

Mark McKinnon is correct, but as the Poliblogger I would like to state that we should not pay Congressional Members nor allow them Health Insurance, or any perks that they have if they are being obstructionist as they are with the Filibuster. The Senators who do this sit in Congress for too long to not become a corrupt wholly owned subsidiary of the people who back their campaigns. Let their Campaign Backers Flip the bill. -The Poliblogger Don’t Pay Congress | No Labels.

The Occupy and Tea Party Beer Summit

The Occupy and Tea Party Beer Summit

Watch: The Occupy and Tea Party Beer Summit | Mother Jones. How do you get tea partiers and occupiers at the same table? Buy lots of beer. It certainly worked at last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference, the nation’s preeminent gathering of folks who love tri-cornered hats, fear Beelzebub, and hate Big Government—especially when it messes with their Medicare. A few occupy protesters and CPAC-goers took a break from yelling at each other one night to trade rounds at a nearby bar. Here’s a condensed version of journalist Eddie Becker’s By Josh Harkinson of Mother Jones on Wed. February 15, […]

Coffee Party USA | Important facts about our defict, taxes, & the national debt — be an information activist: SHARE!. As Congress debates cutting essential programs that affect our future, let’s investigate why we have a deficit and a debt problem.  Our tax code is full of loopholes created and exploited by big corporations. They spend the millions that they don’t pay in taxes to control our government with misleading commercials, political donations, and an army of lobbyists camped out on K Street.   In return, politicians INSIDE our government feign alarm over the deficits created by the tax loopholes their corporate […]

Senate ready to pass highway programs overhaul – USATODAY.com. Horray! Now I can stop worrying that the Pulaski Skyway in NJ is going to just drop us off 300 ft down to the ground, or that the Bridges of yesteryear will kill more people like they did in Minnesota a few years back. INFRASTRUCTURE IS A GREAT WAY TO CREATE JOBS! -Cameron Michaels

Sen. Susan Collins: The political center can survive

Sen. Susan Collins: The political center can survive

Sen. Susan Collins: The political center can survive – The Washington Post. The Intriguing part of this article is that the truth in one form or another was spoken. To Quote Sen Collins, “What has been lost in recent times is a commitment to Congress as an institution, a sense that we are collectively responsible for addressing the issues that confront our country, and that if the institution fails to perform each of us bears responsibility. Just when we most need to function as a team, it appears many of us are unable to see beyond our individual self-interest or […]
